Always make sure that the fan is off before trying any of these methods. The first thing you should do is tighten the downrod and fan screws. Remove the fan’s canopy cover and tighten the screws. Then check the screws that connect to the motor. The screws on the fan blades should be tightened as well.
Check the distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the fan blade. Each blade should be the same distance from the ceiling. Turn your power on and see if the fan is balanced.
If not, you will need a fan balancing kit. Start by placing the clip on the back edge of each blade in the mid-point between the blade holder and furthest tip of the blade. Turn the fan on and see if the blade stops the wobble. Repeat the process on all blades until you find the one that is un-balanced.
After you find the blade, move the clip along the blade and test where it performs best. When this is found, place a balancing weight into the center of the blade in-line with the clip. Remove the clip and test the fan again.
If none of these methods fix the wobble, it might be time to contact a licensed professional.
