A creditor filed a fraudulent deed on my property after the Supreme Court had already denied his appeal. He was rejected at the highest court in the land and he still filed a fraudulent deed claiming my home belonged to him.
The only reason I found out was because Zillow sent me a notification saying a home had sold in my neighborhood. I clicked it. It was my address. My home. Listed as sold to someone else.
I got my lawyers on it immediately. We went to court. He did not show up. The judge restored the title back to me.
But here is what nobody talks about. For almost a year I was completely exposed. The house was legally in his name. I had the liability with none of the asset. I was paying for a home that on paper did not belong to me. And I had no idea.
